It’s OK

Last Saturday, we decided to go live with our "Public Speaking Grand Finale." It seemed like a piece of cake. Just click "Go Live."

Little did I know that it was anything but easy. Managing around a 100 people in the audience was a daunting task.

How to answer questions in the chat window while emceeing the event?

How to find the name of the participant amongst the sea of people?

How should I tell the members of the audience to not allow little kids to play in the background?

To begin with, public speaking is mortifying, and with multiple distractions and technology hiccups, anybody can develop cold feet.

This experience taught me something valuable.

1. It's OK to have technical hiccups. Technology is still evolving.

2. It's OK to have siblings play in the background. With this, I get a glimpse of your busy and beautiful life.

3. It's OK to be imperfect. "Perfection is a mirage." What matters is that you're doing your best.

We're in this together and nothing matters more than moving forward.
